DATE - Set Date and Time


The DATE sub command sets the current date and time.



DATE Dialogue


Init> HARDWARE DATE


Response - Type HARDWARE DATE at the main Init prompt.

Today's date <23-Mar-2016> :


Explanation - DATE asks for the current date.  The default is shown in angle brackets.


Response - Press Enter to choose the default, or type in a new date.  You can enter the date in either of these formats:


Current time <11:36 AM> :


Explanation - DATE asks for the current time.  The default is shown in angle brackets.


Response - Press Enter to choose the default, or type in a new time.  You can enter the time in either of these formats:



Line clock <60> :


Explanation - On some hardware, there is a time source that can be used for a system clock.  DATE asks for the line clock rate, in hertz (cycles per second).  The default is shown in angle brackets.


Response - Press Enter to choose the default or enter a new value.



Error Messages


Invalid date format

The date was entered in a format that Init doesn't recognize.


Invalid number

The value entered was not a valid number.


Invalid time format

The time was entered in a format that Init doesn't recognize.


Invalid value

The value entered is not supported by the hardware.
